A documentary newsreel filmed within the complex of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, created in the spirit of militant atheism.

In 1929, the Bolsheviks transformed the monastery into the All-Ukrainian Museum Town, a center of anti-religious propaganda in the Ukrainian SSR, where guided tours were conducted to “expose the opium of religion.”

A film copy was preserved in the collection of the Bundesarchiv and was digitized and transferred in 2024 with the support of Adelheid Heftberger and the Bundesarchiv team, as well as Ivan Kozlenko.
